lyrics
You get up to leave the room I watch you from the bed
You said if I don't make it back just know it's cause I'm dead
Laughing as I hear the floorboards creaking on the stairs
I swam out deep to meet you I was so underprepared
How do we never see it coming? The game was up before I knew
How do we never see it coming? Really all I saw was you
I don't know what we're doing but I'm terrified to ask
For fear that I might ruin it, I wanna make it last
The twin bed by the white ledge, hope you'll stay another night
I swam out deep to meet you just got carried by the tide
How do we never see it coming? The game was up before I knew
How do we never see it coming? Really all I saw was you
We go to the Starlight Lounge cause you have never been
Both of us were spinning 'round, is something happening?
And I know most about you from the hours in that room
we spent beneath the candelabra, but it always ends too soon.
How do we never see it coming? The game was up before I knew
How do we never see it coming? Really all I saw was you

Her voice is a beautiful instrument, listen you'll see what I'm taking about Great beats, melodies. Not just a great Rap/ Hip Hop album, great album period. BetoR

Incredible album. I'm so happy how "Little Green Cars" evolved into Soda Blonde, and extremely pleased that Faye O'Rourke is at the forefront of vocals with her fantastic, captivating voice. Such a moving album, and the underlying themes really presenting a sort of isolation and general feeling of being upset in a relationship, in my interpretation.
